Our history

The OWASP VIT Student Chapter was formed in 2016 and ever since it’s had one aim only, spreading awareness about cyber security and malware as well as ransomware threats in society and circles of students and teaching them how to deploy counter measures through various events and undertakings.

August, 2016 OWASP VITCC Student Chapter Created
August, 2016 Sharad Agrawal becomes the First President of the Student Chapter.
November 28, 2017 Aditya Dobriyal becomes the Second President of the Student Chapter.
November, 2018ICRTAC-CPS 2018 conducted by OWASP.
December 7, 2018 Rajdeep Singh becomes the Third President of the Student Chapter.
November, 2019 ICRTAC-DTI 2019 conducted by OWASP.
December 17, 2019 Arnav Tripathy becomes the Fourth President of the Student Chapter.
February 14, 2020 OWASP VITCC conducts a hackathon with 100+ participants!
April 31, 2021 OWASP VITCC conducts TetraFlip, it's largest ever Hackathon, with 500+ participants.
